Nordic-Baltic Primary Care Data Space

The "Nordic-Baltic Primary Care Data Space" is an initiative aimed at building a collaborative Northern European research network, supported by a grant from the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Our Goal

The objective of this initiative is to build a collaborative Northern European research network dedicated to the cross-border, secondary use of primary care data. Our vision is to serve as a reliable partner and hub within this network, helping to facilitate health data analysis across the Baltic Sea region. By working together and comparing international data, we aim to collectively identify best-practice models for primary care and strengthen our joint position for future European funding opportunities, such as Horizon Europe or Interreg.

Foundational Meeting in Lübeck, Germany (3 June 2027)

With this funding now in place, a foundational workshop will be hosted in Lübeck on 3 June 2027 to bring together researchers from across Scandinavia and the Baltic states who are interested in this cooperation.
The grant provides resources to organize this gathering and to support international guests with some of the travel expenses. Furthermore, it enables our team to travel for personal, on-site meetings to discuss essential steps to ensure the network is well-prepared for upcoming international research calls.
